A call to action is a prompt that encourages a website visitor to take a specific next step, such as filling out a form, scheduling a consultation, or making a purchase. CTAs typically appear as buttons, links, or banners and are strategically placed throughout a page to guide users toward conversion.

Effective CTAs use clear, action-oriented language that communicates value. Rather than generic phrases like Submit or Click Here, strong CTAs describe the benefit the user will receive, such as Get Your Free Assessment or Start Your Trial.

CTA performance depends on placement, design, copy, and context. Testing different variations through A/B testing is a standard practice for improving click-through and conversion rates over time.
